Extrication – dragon fly emerging from the nymph stage

HatchingA dragon fly – commonly known as a hawker from the family of the Aeshnidae, emerging from it’s nymph stage. To the casual observer it looked like hard work. Unfortunately I didn’t have a proper camera with me so I had to make do. The next photo will be of the newly emerged dragon fly!
