Fountain Challenge # 18 Kew Garden, UK

Here I sit in Barcelona, planning tomorrows fountain photo. And Kew Garden it is, if you have never been to Kew, let me count the reasons you must go 1) it is a very large garden 2) there are birds and animals galore 2) you can walk for hours and mull things over 4) there are beautiful plants and trees from all over the world 5) you can go on a walk along the treetops – and there are benches and tables or you can sit in the Orangerie and buy yourself a scone and have a self-service cream tea, not really as good as one that is served to you, but I guess you need to go with the times.

The above is a fountain, although it feels more like a pond with vertical and angled aspects to it, but I think it qualifies….

We had some great submissions last week, and some newcomers, I will share the links next week. It’s been a truly tough week…..

Please do join in the fountain challenge.

The theme for June, the last week of June that is,  is: unusual details on fountains, unusual fountains. I think we have all seen lots of those, I look forward to your selections!

Create your own post and title it Fountain series June. Check out the ruleshere. I cannot wait to see what you have for me!

  • Include a link to this page in your post so others can find it too
  • Add the tag ‘fountain series’ so everyone can find the benches easily in the WP Reader
  • Get your post in by the end of the month, as the new fountain theme comes out on the first Friday of each month. You can of course also submit weekly!
  • You don’t have to post on a Friday. Any day in the month will do. If you have loads of pictures that fit into a theme, feel free to post several times during the month or create a gallery or whatever works best for you.

We have already had some wonderful fountain shares.

Please join us as we share fountains from around the world!

  1. A tough week? Sitting in Barcelona? Oh, well, I guess you are referring to work rather than location 🙂
Funny that you should choose an English fountain this week as I have chosen yet another (and very famous) Swiss fountain. Have a lovely weekend Poli

    • Hi Kaz – I debated on getting an annual pass, even though I live in Switzerland, but then figured, I might not make it over enough. Just having them in a back pocket would have been inspiring though :)! thanks for the fountain – need to catch up got home on a delayed Easyjet (what a misnomer) at 1 am on monday morning, first meeting 8am….so blogging is taking a bit of a back seat – but will get with the programme for Friday!
