January fountains 48 – Italian defunct fountain

itailan-fountain-2

here I am in January, realising that I had all these wonderful fountains banked away in an album just in case, and now I am running out of weeks, so I give you an Italian fountain. Very different from January’s frozen fountain. This fountain is in Dolceaqua on the Italian riviera. The town is, from the outside, very vaguely as if you had put Martha’s vineyard on a hill, only vaguely, I stress. It’s the pastel colours I guess. The town is medieval, the townhouses tower above narrow pathways which lead between them to the castle on the hill. Highly recommend a visit!
