Happy Friday – above an only slightly wonky fountain in a town across the border, love the square, no traffic, it’s fantastic, and it’s not in a shopping mall either, so has a “real” happy, lively buzz to it, also excellent ice-cream parlours, this is something Germans are very fond of, you can find perhaps 1 or 2 recent ice-parlour additions to the restaurant scene on the Swiss side, whereas across the border ice-parlours have a long-standing tradition and you can see people enjoying ice-cream in the deepest winter. Much as you might in Moscow. Interesting, isn’t it?
